Natural crystals and titanium steel are both durable — but consistent care keeps your pieces looking their best for years to come.
Put your jewelry on last — after skincare, fragrance, and hairspray. Chemicals in these products can dull the surface of natural crystals over time.
Remove your jewelry before:
Titanium steel components
Wipe with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth after wearing. For a deeper clean, use a cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water. Dry thoroughly immediately — do not leave metal wet. Do not use abrasive cloths, chemical cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners, or steam on any piece containing natural crystal.
Natural crystal pendants
Wipe gently with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Avoid soaking — many natural stones are porous and absorb moisture, which can affect their appearance over time. Avoid: bleach, ammonia, alcohol, vinegar, baking soda, or any commercial jewelry cleaner not specifically formulated for natural gemstones.
Many people choose to cleanse their crystals periodically to refresh their energy — especially after intense wear or when a piece feels heavy.
A few gentle methods:
Moonlight — Place your pendant on a windowsill overnight during a full moon. Safe for all stones.
Sage or Palo Santo — Pass your piece briefly through the smoke. A simple and widely used cleansing ritual.
Sunlight — A few hours of morning light works well for most stones. Avoid prolonged exposure for stones like amethyst and rose quartz, which can fade in strong sunlight.
Sound — Singing bowls or gentle sound vibrations are safe for all crystals, including porous and delicate stones.
Note: Avoid water cleansing for porous stones such as turquoise, moonstone, and fluorite.
Some stones in our collection require extra attention. If your pendant is one of the following, please take note:
Turquoise
Highly porous. Use a dry cloth only — no water, no liquid of any kind. Keep away from perfume, sweat, and oils.
Moonstone
Soft and prone to fracture. Handle with care, avoid knocks and drops. Wipe with a dry cloth only.
Opal
Extremely sensitive to temperature change and dehydration. Keep away from heat, direct sunlight, and dry environments. Wipe with a barely damp cloth and store carefully.
Pearl
Never expose to perfume, hairspray, or acidic substances. Wipe gently with a soft damp cloth after wearing. Store separately from other pieces.
Fluorite
Low hardness — scratches easily. Store separately and handle gently. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only.

Keep connectors dry and free from debris. If a connector feels weaker over time, wipe the contact points gently with a dry cloth — this usually restores full strength.
Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat such as direct sunlight, saunas, or hot cars, as sustained high temperatures can affect magnetic strength over time.
Do not store near credit cards, electronic devices, or other magnetically sensitive items.
Store pieces separately to prevent scratches — particularly between crystals. Keep jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade certain stones over time.
The original AwakenDust packaging is ideal for storage. A soft pouch or lined jewelry box works equally well. Avoid storing jewelry in bathrooms or humid environments.
Every crystal is unique. Slight variations in color, texture, and clarity between your piece and our product photography are natural and expected. Some stones may shift subtly in appearance over years of wear — this is not deterioration. It is the living quality of natural stone.
